The new owners have done a great job in turning the older building into a beautiful inviting space. The staff was really friendly and easy going. The vibe is definitely mom & pop but with a fresh 2024 face lift. It’s rare in this day and age to see a new restaurant with such a genuine old school vibe based on good authentic food. No gimmicks or frills, just good food and decent prices. I can see this place being busy all the time so I’m glad we got to experience it before it blows up. They do have 3 locations in the lower mainland though. Great to see an independent business growing. 12th street is quickly becoming a kind of Commercial Drive of New West but that’s another story for another day.
