Explore New West Fire and Rescue Services Open House

This weekend is the New West Fire and Rescue Services Open House on October 5th from 10 am to 2 pm. This free event offers a unique opportunity for residents to engage with the essential services that keep our community safe.

At the Open House, attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at the operations of the fire department and learn about the various agencies that work alongside our first responders such as Emergency Support Services (ESS) and opportunities to volunteer and get involved.

The event will include live demonstrations showcasing firefighting techniques and equipment used by our dedicated firefighters. Visitors will have the opportunity to see various fire apparatus up close during the equipment displays and to gather valuable fire and community safety information at dedicated booths.

For families, it’s a perfect outing with Sparky the Fire Dog making an appearance, along with activities and games for children. The New West Firefighters' Charitable BBQ will also be on site, serving up delicious food by donation while supporting a great cause.
